When are you introducing more collection?

As with anything new, there is risk and uncertainty in the process. What if nobody likes us? This is why we have decided to start small and scale up once we see how this works. We are happy to hear your thoughts and ideas about what there should be next in our collection!

How do I find my size?

We have made our best to describe the sizing and fit of our products in the product details. In our view, Nerdy & Nooby® clothes can be considered a little relaxed but that is naturally subject to everybody's own taste. The collection is unisex by design.

Women are suggested to go one size smaller than usual unless they prefer it more relaxed. Please note that the items are sold pre-shrunk which means that they may shrink up to 5% when washed.

What kind of materials are your products?

Our products are made of 100% cotton. Hence, we would like to be seen as Premium or high-quality, but that is ultimately for you as our customer to decide :) The vintage styled clothes may appear a little rugged or worn out but that is by design.

Where are your products manufactured?

Our products are manufactured in Portugal, Europe. 

What kind of packaging materials are you using?

We use recyclable paper and carton based materials as much as feasible and possible. This is more sustainable and environment friendly than using plastic which is often seen in the clothing business.

What is a Proto garment?

The Proto garments have been used in the process of designing and testing the final products. They are unique pieces by themselves. Due to their use in the finalisation process, they have been little used, washed and worn out. Otherwise, they are of equal quality than the regular collection. 

PAYMENTS & DELIVERIES

What payment options do I have?

We offer a wide selection of secure payment options together with our payments partner Paytrail. The payment methods include e.g. bank transfers, debit/credit cards and mobile payments of the most common banks and payment card companies in Finland. 

All prices are nominated and collected in euros (EUR).

What delivery options do I have?

We provide you two options to choose from:

1.) Standard delivery: We offer free standard shipment on all orders in Finland. This includes postal parcel delivery to your nearest Posti parcel locker or Posti outlet. Please note that, at the moment, we are not able to provide you the option to choose the exact pickup point as part of the purchase flow. Posti will deliver to your nearest Posti parcel locker or Posti outlet based on your postal code and the availability of their storage. However, by subscribing to OmaPosti you are able to set up your default delivery address.

2.) Home delivery: We offer home parcel delivery to your doorstep with an additional fee of €6,90 (EUR) per delivery.

Please note that Nerdy & Nooby® currently delivers only in Finland. 

When will my order be delivered?

From your order confirmation, please allow us 1-3 working days for dispatching and then 1-3 working days for shipping your order. The delivery times are estimated and dependent on your final delivery location. The delivery times do not include weekends and public holidays.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Can I return my ordered item(s)?

Yes, you can. We have a 14-day return policy which means that you have the right to cancel and return your ordered item(s) within 14 days from the date you received your order and to request a refund.

Please note that the Proto garments are not eligible for returns nor refunds as they are unique pieces by themselves.

Please note that all returns will be subject to the return shipping costs of €6,90 (EUR) deducted from the refunded amount. This also concerns the orders being dispatched for shipment before receiving your cancellation notification in written. 

What to do if I have received defected, damaged or wrong item(s)?

We apologize for the situation and look forward to hearing from you so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please contact us at info@valosventures.com. In these cases, please do not return any item(s) before contacting us!

If the problem sits on our side, we naturally cover for our mistake and do not charge you the return shipping costs. Every case will be processed individually according to the best judgement.

How to return my ordered item(s)?

Please follow these steps for a successful and seamless return process:

1.) Fill out the return form that you can find inside of the original packaging and enclose it with your returned item(s).

2.) Pack your returned item(s) carefully into the original packaging. Ensure that the item(s) are well sealed inside of the packaging to avoid any damages during the return shipping. Please remember that to be eligible for a refund, your returned item(s) must be in unworn, unchanged and undamaged condition with all tags attached.

3.) Visit your nearest Posti parcel locker or Posti outlet and provide the personnel with the return shipping code and the return shipping address found inside of the original packaging when dropping off. Please ask for the receipt as the proof of your return and keep it. Please note that the returned item(s) is at your responsibility until we have confirmed them as received at our end.

It may take up to two weeks for your returned item(s) to reach back to us. Subject to having received and accepted your returned item(s) as per our policy, please note that it may take few days to process your refunded amount into your original payment method. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. 

For the returned orders, the return shipping costs of €6,90 (EUR) will be deducted from the refunded amount.

Can I change my ordered item(s)?

Unfortunately, we do not process any exchanges. In case you need to change your size, please follow the return process with the original order and place a new one.

Please note that all returns will be subject to the return shipping costs of €6,90 (EUR) deducted from the refunded amount.

Why do you charge the return shipping costs for all returns?

We understand that this may be different than what some others do. Please allow us to explain because we are doing this lawfully and for three reasons.

First, standard delivery is inclusive in our prices when you purchase from us. Once we have delivered your order, this complementary service is used. 

Second, deliveries back and forth not only produce additional hassle and repacking, but they are neither good for the environment.

Third, this is one of the areas where we think that a lot of the fashion industry has gone wrong and we want to be different. We are naturally hoping that our products meet your needs and in case not, you accept this nominal fee for us catering for your return :)

Please note that if the problem sits on our side, e.g. we have delivered damaged, defective or wrong item(s) to you, we naturally cover for our mistake and do not charge you the return shipping costs. In these cases, please contact us at info@valosventures.com before returning any item(s)!

How long does it take to process my refund?

It may take up to two weeks for your returned item(s) to reach back to us. How can I contact your Customer Service?

We would prefer us to be contacted by email at info@valosventures.com. You can also contact us by phone during the opening hours. We can provide you service in both Finnish and English. You can write us in Finnish too.

What is Nerdy & Nooby®?

Nerdy & Nooby® is a clothing brand and a registered trademark. We would like to call ourselves "a mindset brand" as this is how we would like to come across to you and for you to see, think and feel about us as our customer. Hence, our products can be considered more like the symbols of our purpose and message. 

In the prototyping phase before the public and commercial launch took place in July 2023, we were internally calling ourselves "Nerdy Hoody". Hence, you may still find some cues about that ;) The name was kept as the auxiliary business name.
